PMBA Trail Work Day

PMBA Trail Work Day

Saturday, Aug 3rd

7:30am - 12:00pm
This month we will be doing something a little bit different. We will be working on the section of road between the lower end of the new 332 down to Willow Creek. We are going to convert the road section to a single track by creating flow, grade reversals and choke points. The result should be a more interesting and better draining section of trail and continue the single track feel of the re-route. If we are kicking butt, we'll continue the process to the chimney.

Meet at the DES office on Gurley St (...old frys for the old timers).
We will carpool from there, go through the gate where TR 332 meets Thumb Butte Rd and park about 1/4 mile past the junction with TR 318.

Wear LONG PANTS, long sleeve shirt, gloves and sturdy shoes/boots and eye protection (sunglasses are fine). We will provide water, gatorade, snacks, tools and hard hats. We will work until 11:30 then head back to the DES Parking Lot.

Granite Basin Closure is revised

The Prescott National Forest has reduced the size of the closure due to the Doce Fire as of July 8th.

Please note that the Wekuvde and Cayuse picnic areas, as well as the "Cayuse Loop Trail" will reopen on July 13th. [I'm not sure what trails are part of the mentioned loop trail.]

Detailed information can be found on the PNF website.
